Live input
GPS processing, lap detection, and split times.
Shiftr designed and developed RaceTrak for runners, organizers, and spectators, giving each audience a different view of the same live event.
RaceTrak brings runners, race organizers, and spectators into one tracking product. Runners want their performance information, organizers need a view of the event, and supporters want to follow individual athletes.
Live race conditions shaped the requirement: information changes continuously, people may be moving, and the interface must be readable at a glance.
The web and mobile product includes live GPS tracking, automatic lap detection, split times, leaderboards, and race results. WebSocket updates connect live maps and standings, while the organizer experience provides more detailed event and post-race information.
The design addressed live-data reliability, device battery use, and clear information at a glance. Mobile and web were developed as parts of one product.
The published portfolio describes the product as fully built and in its final stages before launch.
